Alongside Brink's two co-founders they provide the Foundation with the rigour, networks, and frontline knowledge to invest well and accountably.

Teresa is Founding Principal at Imaginable Futures. Teresa has extensive experience at the intersection of education, innovation, and finance. Teresa will help us chart new paths in philanthropy - from new models of patient capital to democratising access to role models.

Magdalena is Associate Director, Global Development and Partnerships at Acumen. Magdalena has had an exciting career in both international development and impact investing, with a focus on climate change, gender, poverty. We know Magda will keep our strategy sharp and visionary.

Kristoffer is Chief of Innovation at UNICEF and brings deep innovation and global health expertise across start-ups and corporates, in venture capital as an investor, and within the UN. We know he will push the boundaries of our work, while keeping us grounded in reality.

Sheena brings over 18 years of experience spanning legal, financial services, and impact investment sectors across Europe and Africa. Her career has taken her from London law firms to serving as Country Director of the UK-Kenya Tech Hub for the FCDO, to her current role as Chief Growth Officer at agri-tech company Kuza One.

As Managaing Director, East Africa for Africa Practice, Richard is senior stakeholder relations adviser to businesses, philanthropies and government leaders, specialising in sustainable development, infrastructure, and energy. He advises a portfolio of companies that have collectively invested over USD 5 billion in Africa and was a co-facilitator of the initial strategy workshops that led to the formulation of the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

Abi is one of Brink's two co-founders and an organisational psychologist. She believes in the power of mindsets, collaboration, lifelong learning and what people and (mindfully designed) technology are capable of, together.

Lea is one of Brink’s two co-founders and Director of a number of its programmes and funds.Lea has over 20 years experience working from Silicon Valley to Kathmandu on all things tech, innovation and supporting organisations and governments to get fit for the future.

Alex leads the Better Futures CoLab platform of programmes at Brink. She is passionate about constantly surfacing and working on what the world needs most. Right now, this looks like a growing portfolio of programmes tackling global access to oxygen, equitable access to vaccines, improving the livelihoods of the informal sector in Kenya, and addressing cancer-related fatigue for the most marginalised.

Flic is an experienced teacher and school leader. She is passionate about building organisational cultures grounded in equity and scaling practices and systems that allow students from all backgrounds to thrive. She’s a Teach First alumni and prior to Brink, Flic supported professional development across Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Nepal.

James is a Delivery Lead at Brink. He spends his time making sure the delivery of some of Brink’s biggest programmes of work (such as the EdTech Hub) are delivered smoothly and proactively, and that teams are well supported and getting what they need. He also manages Brink’s new business pipeline, spotting needs across the team to deliver high calibre ideas to potential new partners.

Catherine is a mission-driven program manager with over seven years of experience working across Africa’s education, health, and entrepreneurship ecosystems.

Amy spent over 20 years at Save the Children US where she was Senior Director of Education Research. Following that she was Head of Evidence at The LEGO Foundation. She holds master’s degrees from Stanford and Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, where she also earned her doctorate degree.

Laura has led global research and strategy for over 15 years, focusing on women and girls' health and agency across Africa, Mexico/Central America, and the Global South. Her work spans mixed-methods research, co-designing collaboratives, and translating complex evidence into tools philanthropic funders and programme teams can actually use.
